Signatures that hold in the EU, Switzerland and the US
Pick a document, name the signers, choose the level and the provider — Skribble or DeepSign. They do the identification and the signing; everyone signs with one button from memex, and the signed PDF comes back to where the document lives.
✍️ Electronic Signature
Legally valid electronic signatures on any document of the mesh — through the provider you choose.
| Level | Legal effect | Typical use |
|---|---|---|
| SES — simple | Valid evidence of intent; sufficient under the US ESIGN Act / UETA | internal sign-offs, informal agreements |
| AES — advanced | Signer uniquely identified; strong evidence in the EU, CH and US | most business contracts (the default) |
| QES — qualified | Equivalent to a handwritten signature (EU: eIDAS Art. 25; CH: OR Art. 14 Abs. 2bis) | anything that requires written form |
🚨 EU and Swiss qualified signatures are not mutually recognised. Choose eIDAS for documents governed by EU law and ZertES for documents governed by Swiss law; for a cross-border QES, sign once under each.
